Are winter tyres for you?

Hey there! A personal view about winter tyres

“I drove lots of different cars, front, rear and four wheel drive when I lived in the Alps for 12 years. Winter tyres are considerably superior to 4wd and summer tyres!. Without a doubt you are safer with winter tyres. Occasionally it is just unsafe to drive without them. And you lose out on a lot of fun. I recall driving along the outside lane of the M69 one February in the snow at 60ish while every other car was in a boring procession on the inside lane doing all of 20mph!  I just prayed no-one chose to follow me instead. Then there was the chap in his Discovery I drove past on a snowy Derbyshire road ... .”  There is some interestto be found here.
